Received third order for the EfW plant in India

Hitachi Zosen India Private Limited (Managing Director: Tomonori Terai, hereafter HZIND), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Zosen Corporation and located in Gurgaon, Haryana, India, which provides design, engineering, supply and construction for energy-from-waste (EfW) plant has been awarded of a contract from Antony Lara Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd., a special purpose company established by Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Pvt. Ltd. that is a waste management company and AG Enviro Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. that is a waste collection and transportation company. This is a major project award for HZIND, following two projects of the Jabalpur’s project (1x600 ton per day – 11.5 MW) and the KGPCL’sProject(1x600 ton per day - 11.5 MW).
The contract has been awarded to a consortium of HZIND and ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. (hereinafter, ISGEC), an Indian heavy machinery manufacturer.
HZIND will undertake plant design, engineering, supply of the core equipment including grate, boiler and flue gas treatment system, along with the supervision, and ISGEC will undertake supply of power generation equipment and installation, and commissioning of the plant along with civil engineering.
It is the first waste incineration plant in Maharashtra, and after the plant goes into operation, the plant will process municipal solid wastes generated in Pune prefecture, Maharashtra and generate the electricity.
In India, it is planned to establish 100 smart cities to develop sustainable urban infrastructure (“Smart City Mission”) where an EfW plant is anticipated as one of the core infrastructures. New plant construction projects are expected on a continuous basis. Taking a chance of the business environment, HZIND is targeting on further contracts awards by its standardized incinerator model of processing capacity ranging 300-700 tons-per-day.
