Background
  • ・Fetal arrhythmias can be treated in utero, with medications varying according to the symptoms. Therefore, early detection and precise diagnosis are crucial.
  • ・Traditionally, fetal arrhythmia has been diagnosed by obstetricians based on images from ultrasound diagnostic devices.
Challenge
  • ・The diagnostic process requires a high level of specialized expertise, making it difficult for less experienced obstetricians and obstetric sonographers.
Approach
  • ・We have developed an AI-based system that supports diagnostic processes using only ultrasound videos.

  • ・Fetal ultrasound videos
Outcome
  • ・A prototype system designed to automatically identify arrhythmias—such as tachycardia, bradycardia, and extrasystoles—has been completed to support diagnosis.
