Pillars of Success (Materialities)

Sustainable Vision and Pillars of Success (Materialities)

In March 2023, Kanadevia Group established Sustainable Vision, which is the vision it aims to achieve in 2050, under Kanadevia Value, which consists of its Corporate Philosophy, Management Stance, and Code of Conduct. We then identified “risks and opportunities” based on social issues, and established seven “Pillars of Success” (Materialities) from the perspectives of society and stakeholders, and impacts on business continuity.
Going forward, we will implement measures to address each of the “Pillars of Success.

"Pillars of Success" establishment process

With the Corporate Philosophy and the Sustainable Vision in mind, our starting point was to recognize the external environment from a long-term perspective and comprehensively identify issues based on the “Four Principles of Sustainability” (The Natural Step). We have identified Seven Materialities, taking into consideration the “perspective of society and stakeholders,” the “perspective of impact on business continuity,” and the “degree of difficulty of achievement” (using Future-Fit Business Benchmarks). Materiality is called the “Pillar of Success” because it is an essential element in realizing the Sustainable Vision. In order to properly incorporate changes in the external environment, needs, and expectations into the business plan, the “Pillars of Success” will be reviewed every three to five years.
