Track Records

Amount of raw material inputs and Amount of valuable waste generated in our business activities

The amount of raw material inputs in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023 was 22,204 tonnes (up 1,712 tons from the previous fiscal year) due to an increase in production volume. Paper consumption was 53 tonnes (up 32 tons from the previous fiscal year), and paper consumption per employee was 12.0kg (up 7.1 kg from the previous fiscal year). The main reason for the increase was that many employees worked from home due to COVID-19 in FY2021 and paper consumption was extremely low.

The amount of waste and valuable resources generated in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022 was affected by an increase in production, but thanks to initiatives to reduce waste in manufacturing processes and the promotion of recycling, the amount generated was 8,091 tonnes, the amount landfilled was 192 tonnes, and the landfill rate was 2.4%, all of which were lower than in the previous fiscal year. In addition, the amount of waste generated from construction work undertaken by our Group was 4,217 tonnes.

Initiatives

Net-zero environmental impacts based on product life cycle

In addition to identifying items that have not been recycled in the manufacturing process and increasing the number of recycled items, we also adopt recycled products in the selection of materials at the design and manufacturing stages, and consider waste-free operation methods in facility operations, based on the life cycle of the product, We aim to achieve zero environmental impacts.

2030
  • Landfill rate: 2% or less
  • Promote recycling of valuable metals by collecting material products
2040
  • Landfill rate: 1% or less
  • 50% recycling rate of valuable metals in material product recovery
2050
  • Landfill rate: zero
  • 100% recycling rate of valuable metals in material product recovery
Status in 2023
  • Landfill rate: 2.4% (FY2022)
  • Conduct analysis of non-recyclable factors
  • Selection of targets for recycling of valuable metals through product recovery
